Well that was a bit of a damp squib of a first week of earnings, but be patient, it’s only just begun and there’s plenty of time for the fun to begin.
Microsoft gapped up before coming straight back down for a marginal gain, while Netflix gapped down and is a couple of bars from a post-earnings bear flag.
In the meantime, Exxon has already made an October 77.50 straddle profitable while its earnings is on 2nd August.
If you attended my London 2018 stocks workshop, or my Miami 2019 options bootcamp, then you should definitely view my Mastermind sessions from last week for each of them.
For now I’m going to be cautious with pre-earnings while being patient for post-earnings. And although I didn’t cover them in the video today, the likes of GS, JPM and BAC are looking like decent post-earnings situations albeit without the big thrust up prior to their current consolidations.
